Entrepreneurship

Q.1. What is an entrepreneur?
A.

Entrepreneurs use personal initiative, and engage in calculated risk-taking, to create new business ventures by raising resources to apply innovative new ideas that solve problems, meet challenges, or satisfy the needs of a clearly defined market.

Q.2. Am I entrepreneurial?
A.

Entrepreneurs are typically made, not born, so most people can learn to become entrepreneurs. Being an entrepreneur requires special qualities and is not for everyone. You need to know if you have entrepreneurial traits. Entrepreneurs must have the qualities of high risk tolerance, excellent salesmanship, an independent temperament, negotiating ability and emotional intelligence. The Canadian Foundation for Economic Education offers an insight into the entrepreneur.
